Kickoff Workshop
Crossfunctional Alignment and Goal Setting for Deliverables This is the fun part. We create alignment and clarity for the project. This allows us to work effectively, reducing timelines and producing deliverables that exceed your expectations.
We deliver a project requirements document with a problem statement, product vision, metrics, deliverables, and desired goals and outcomes.

Human Perceptions
Perception is how our brain interprets, organizes, and takes in sensory information to understand the world. This is what defines their attention, expectation, motivation, emotion, and values.
We simplify and clarify what is significant to your users from research, observation, product reviews, and customer service data. This creates the lens we use to build empathy for the stakeholders, evaluate the current experience, reverse benchmark the competitive offering to problem solve and create solutions.

Inverse Benchmarking
We analyze the competitive landscape to identify opportunities that are being ignored. All products have compromises, and when a category aligns its features, openings for differentiation are created.

We deliver an Opportunity Pathway Document that identifies insights, opportunities, and what is considered cost of entry.

Moments of Truth
Each stakeholder's experience has one or two defining moments. We call these Moments of Truth. They get priority during the ideation and concept phases of the project.
We design the ideal moment to replace these defining points of friction to
We deliver storyboards for each stakeholder that showcase the current experience with their pain points, MOTs, and what works.

Aesthetic Meaning
We design the aesthetics of your product to communicate the desired attributes, the user's status in the world, and emotionally hook their feeling of desire.
How something looks has a psychological effect on perception and value judgments.
Aesthetic-Usability Effect: People perceive aesthetically pleasing designs as more usable, even if they aren't objectively better, affecting user experience and adoption.
Implicit Association: Our brains automatically link beauty with goodness, a deep-seated bias influencing social and product judgments.
Visual Primacy: Aesthetic presentation at the start (visuals) heavily influences initial memory and perception, a principle used in design to grab attention.

Product Vision Statements
We collaborate with you to generate three vision statements. We create a collage of design elements that match each statement. This narrows our exploration so our designs are on target and meet your expectations right from the start.

Hard Points & Keep Out Zones
A great idea isn't worth anything if it can't be manufactured. We lay out all of the components, structure, and keep out zones in CAD.
This allows us to dial in the proportion creating the optimal foundation of a desirable aesthetic.
We sketch over the computer model to quickly show you design options that are accurate and will match the production parts.

8 Innovation Frameworks
These frameworks allow us to zoom in and out to creatively solve big ideas all the way down to the details of the design.
If your product needs to redefine a category, challenge industry norms, or create new user benefits, we have the frameworks to get there.

New Experiences

People buy the experience they think a product will give them.
After they use it, they compare the experience to their expectations.
Designing the experience is the best way to ensure your users love your product and talk to other people about it.
Prototyping
The only way to evaluate a design is to bring it into the real world.
We prototype early to get clear direction early in the process. Seeing the scale, proportion, and ergonomics of a potential design will immediately tell you what works and what doesn't.
I also prevents costly rework down the road saving you time, resources, and stress.

Enabling Product
We view the physical product as the enabler of the desired experience.
We collaborate with your engineering team early in the process to explore part design, assembly methods, and material options.
We want you and your team to be confident that your amazing new product can be executed flawlessly and manufactured at scale.

Color Material Finish
Color has a profound effect on our emotions, behavior, and psychological response. It can change what we do, how much we consume, and the value we give an object. There is a reason food brands and restaurants use warm colors that stimulate our appetite.
The color, material, and finishes of a product can change our perception from affordable commodity to something you'd pay a premium for. The right combination can trigger the desire response of your users and customers.
Have you paid extra for tricoat metallic paint on a vehicle? or a limited edition product?

DFM Hand Off
We have successfully designed manufacturable products for over 20 years, utilizing a variety of materials, processes, and assembly methods.
We confidently work within your requirements to deliver a design that your users will love and that you will be confident in.
We create a Design Book for the DFM handoff that outlines the product's intent, functions, interactions, and CMF specs.
